The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
A. Balfe replaced Kevin Healy on Honey Dale, trained by Paul Mulligan (Race 1)(injured).200A Killarney Park 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the final hurdle involving Minella Buoy (GB), ridden by D. King, placed second, and No Bother Aoife, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed fourth, where it appeared No Bother Aoife ran short of room on the run in. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.C. Sexton stated that his race was run when he had to slightly check off heels on the run in. D. King stated that he felt he was clear of the horse inside him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that D. King was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
A. Balfe, rider of Honey Dale, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the third last hurdle involving Words Unspoken, ridden by P.T. Enright, and Cite Florale (FR), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, where it appeared Cite Florale jumped left and collided with Words Unspoken on landing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
200B Killarney Grand (Mares) M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the back straight involving Fraher Field, ridden by P.T. Enright, Mysilverriverfeale, ridden by D. King, and Tumbling In, ridden by G.B. Noonan where it appeared Fraher Field ran short of room on the inside. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that he was struggling to hold his position and could not fill the gap at that point. D. King stated that he was aware of the horse inside him and did not feel he tightened him. G.B. Noonan stated that he felt he kept his line around the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
200C Lee Strand H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Andrew McNamara, trainer of Warriors Wood, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i).
R.J. Condon, rider of Jacovec Cavern (GB), trained by Paul Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
200D BOYLE Sports Daily Money Back H'cap S'chThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined No Flies On Him, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
200E Lee Strand Novice S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Net Boy (FR), trained by Barry Connell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost his left fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal.
200F1 Europe Hotel And Resort H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards fined John Patrick Ryan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared tongue strap to The Dara Man, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tippin And Tappin, trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
200F2 Europe Hotel And Resort H'cap S'chaseA. Balfe, rider of Schiehallion, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
P.T. Enright, rider of The Border Boy, trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount gurgled and pulled up.
200G Christy Lucey (M) (Pr-Am) INH Flat RaceMiss J. Townend, rider of Killeedy, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ran green early.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Land Me Safe, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed fifth, Killeedy, ridden by Miss J. Townend, placed fourth, and Unquite Dreams, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, placed first, where it appeared Unquite Dreams made contact with Land Me Safe who in turn made contact with Kileedy. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D. Doyle, rider of Unquite Dreams, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.Mr. D. Doyle accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Mr. D. Doyle was in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and in considering his clean record in this regard they suspended him for three racedays.
Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Land Me Safe, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced too freely.
